They also play a significant role in placements. Additionally, Clubs and committees are also handled by them. These types of activities help them to build their interpersonal skills and make them corporate ready. This is just a small portion of what an MBA entails.

Let’s talk about life at MBA: -

If you are joining a B-school and you think that you will have plenty of time for everything probably you are wrong. Because during the course you have to manage many things like classes, assignments, presentation and many more things. So, students have very hectic schedule.

For 2 years you are going to challenge yourself and trust me it’s a great feeling.

MBA OR PGDM

Many students are confused that they should go for MBA or PGDM. Moreover, both are same things but there are some differences that will be cleared by the end of this blog. All your confusion will be solved. So read it carefully.

What is PGDM?

PGDM is a not a degree but a diploma in management which is provided by various individual institutions which are accredited by AICTE. As like MBA you have to choose your field here also.

PGDM also have same curriculum like MBA but have some difference that is discussed below.

Differences and Similarities :-

  • Both courses will teach you business administration.

  • MBA is provided by a university.

  • PGDM is provided by individual institutions.

  • After MBA you can do a PhD.

  • After PGDM you can’t do PhD but you can pursue FPM which is considered equivalent to a PhD.

  • IIM’s are individual institutions but they provide MBA degrees because they are questions of national importance so despite being individual institutions they are providing MBA degrees.

Which is better?

As far as concerned it is very subjective because both courses teach business management and both are good. And if you have to choose one choose according to the options of colleges you are getting and facilities provided by them.

  • Check their placement reports.

  • Read about professors in your college.

  • Have a look at the alumni network

  • Consider campus and its location.

  • Companies coming on campus for placements.

  • Job roles provided by companies.

  • Fees and infrastructure.

So these are some factors on which basis you should choose your college doesn’t matter whether it is providing MBA or PGDM.

Similar to MBA, there are numerous consultants available in cities for PGDM. But PGDM consultants in Pune, India offers best colleges to students. PGDM consultants in Pune, India holds a large market share in this education consulting sector than other cities.
